What makes my tours unique? They’re led by a real Scottish artist who grew up immersed in Scotland’s art world. My parents met at the Glasgow School of Art and were close friends with the renowned Alastair Gray, whose work and ideas shaped my own artistic path. On my private tours of the National Gallery of Scotland, I share personal stories and insight into the creative process — focusing on tonal value, light, and shadow — to help you see how Scottish artists create mood and atmosphere. Tours are small, welcoming, and designed for all levels of art interest.

Art Workshops in the Galleries

Combine inspiration and creativity in one experience. After exploring Scotland’s national collections together, I’ll guide you through a relaxed workshop where you can create your own art to keep as a memento. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to confident painters — all materials are provided. My workshops are friendly, warm, and encouraging, helping you rediscover your creativity in beautiful gallery settings.

Silver Jewellery Workshops
At Kirsteen’s Art, I run creative workshops in Edinburgh designed to be relaxed, hands-on, and suitable for all levels.
In collaboration with Fabode Ceramics, I offer silver jewellery workshops where you can design and make your own unique pieces using silver clay techniques. You’ll learn how to shape, texture, and finish your work, creating something personal and wearable.
I also run painting workshops, focusing on expressive, contemporary approaches to art. These sessions are about freedom, colour, and confidence — not perfection — and are suitable whether you’re a complete beginner or already developing your practice.
All workshops take place in a welcoming creative space in Edinburgh, with a focus on making, experimenting, and enjoying the process of creating art.
