Silver Clay Jewellery Workshops

Create your own beautiful silver jewellery in an inspiring creative space in Edinburgh.

In these hands-on workshops you will learn how to design and make a unique silver clay necklace or pair of earrings with guidance from Kirsteen’s Art in collaboration with Fabode Ceramics.

Silver clay is a remarkable material made from fine silver particles that can be shaped like clay before being fired into real solid silver.

The process is creative, tactile and deeply satisfying, allowing you to make jewellery that is completely personal and one of a kind.

Next Workshop:

Workshop One – Design & Making

In the first 2-hour workshop you will explore ideas, experiment with textures and shapes, practise techniques, and create your jewellery piece in silver clay.

The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and suitable for beginners as well as creative people wanting to try something new.

You will learn:

Designing jewellery ideas

Working with silver clayTexture and surface techniques

Shaping and refining your piece

Preparing jewellery for drying and firing

Workshop Two – Finishing Your Jewellery

Once the silver clay has dried and been fired, return for the second 2-hour workshop to complete your jewellery professionally.

You can also come back to create matching pieces and build a set if you wish.

You will learn:

Firing preparation

Polishing techniques

Burnishing for shine and texture

Adding chains or earring hoops

Final finishing touches

By the end you will leave with your own handmade solid silver jewellery.
